Announcing Lessons Learned Garden Tour #1
Jefferson County Master Gardener Association, Inc.
May 19, 2012
9 AM - 4 PM
2817 Brownsboro Road
Louisville, KY 40206
Come visit the garden of a Jefferson County Master Gardener on Saturday, May 19th!
This will be the first in a series of 5 garden tours that will be given the 3rd Saturday of each month from May through September.
The focus of the May Lessons Learned Tour is
RAIN GARDENS.
This tour is located on a large corner lot that had been plagued by water runoff problems until the home owners installed a rain garden.
Instruction on installing and maintaining a rain garden, and the importance of plant selection will be discussed.
In addition, you may tour this Master Gardener's other ornamental and vegetable gardens where she uses water conservation and water management techniques.
The beautiful patio beds were designed for easy access from the kitchen and to allow tending the beds with minimal bending and stooping.
The cost of the tour is $5 per person.

Scott Davenport & Bellarmine Knights
2011 NCAA II Champions
Congratulations to Zachary Treitz:
I made the movie with a bunch of people from Louisville who
will be there: Rusty & Veronica Blanton, David Maloney, and Laura Morton. We
all trekked out to premiere the movie at Sundance and it has had a pretty
amazing journey since: IFFboston, LA Film Fest, Maryland Film Festival, Aspen,
and BAM... but this is the one that matters most.
